All Set for the Embu Rugby Sevens Tournament

The Embu Rugby Sevens Tournament, scheduled for July 12–14 at Moi Stadium, is gearing up for an exciting event. The Embu Rugby Football Club is making final preparations to ensure the grounds and necessary installations are ready.

Club chairperson Bosire Abija announced that the competition will kick off with an under-18 age group contest on Friday, providing a family-friendly experience with no gate charges.

Sixteen clubs have confirmed their participation in the Embu Rugby Sevens Tournament, including notable teams such as Impala, Strathmore, Zetech, Nakuru RFC, Meru, Chuka, and Kirinyaga.

Registration remains open to other teams across Kenya, provided they are registered and affiliated with the Kenya Rugby Union.

Prizes will be awarded to the winners, and Abija expressed confidence in the home team’s chances of emerging as the overall champion.

Enhanced security measures will be in place to ensure the tournament runs smoothly.
