Ghana Trade Week Ends with a Durbar in Nairobi

After a weeklong countrywide Ghanaian Trade Week celebrations in Kenya, the country has today been treated to a thrilling Ghana Trade Week Anniversary Durbar at the Ghana Trade House at Sameer Park, Nairobi.
Speaking at the event, Damptey Asare, Ghana’s Ambassador lauded Kenyans for the immense support over the years in spurring the business ties between the two nations,
“We intend to consolidate the presence of Ghana trade house in Nairobi as a springboard to the rest of East Africa, the impact of our partnership is immense with a positive trajectory,” said Asare.
Speaking on the same, Floice Mukabana, chief executive Kenya Export Promotion and Branding Agency (KEPROBA) said the journey with Ghana Trade House was a successful collaboration, and as a birth child of AFCTA, it created market access, especially in logistics. She added that “There has been an opportunity to leverage the possibilities between the two countries.”
Samuel Dentu, Ghana Export Promotion Agency, (GEPA) Deputy chief executive emphasized the celebration had been a remarkable success with immense support from Kenyans.
“For the last week, we have celebrated our week anniversary, today’s durbar showcases the success of the Ghana trade house, we are glad that the Ambassadors present here have given endorsement for the establishment of trade house in other countries to increase Trade between the countries,” said Dentu.
Kris Senanu, Executive Director, Starmark Marketing Company LTD noted that the Ghana Trade House and the trade house have increased their product line to over 650.
“We are impacting 107 manufacturing companies in Ghana with diverse products ranging from cosmetics, food, cocoa products, Fabrics, Wellness, and Art and craft,” he said.
Over 12 Ambassadors led by the Ghana High Commissioner to Kenya H.E, SADAC Chairperson, and Zimbabwe Ambassador Winpeg Moyo, Ghana Export Promotion Authority Deputy CEO Samuel Dantu, and Keproba CEO Floice Mukabana among a dozen leaders led in the celebrations.
The Ghana Trade Week has seen various mall activities in Nairobi and Mombasa, Taste of Ghana Cuisines, Gala Diner, and the Anniversary Durbar.
