June Chepkemei has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Kenya Tourism Board (KTB).
June takes over from John Chirchir who has been the acting CEO since November 2022.
June will serve in the position for a period of three years according to the government gazette notice signed by Tourism Cabinet Secretary (CS) Dr Alfred Mutua.

June holds an undergraduate degree in public relations and communications and a diploma in professional marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), UK.
She is a professional journalist with a master’s degree in communications studies from Moi University.
In February 2023, former Trade CS Moses Kuria appointed June as the acting Managing Director of the Kenya Investment Authority (KenInvest). Prior to her appointment as KenIvest MD, she served as the marketing head at the Konza Technopolis Development Authority.
June has also worked as a public relations lead at Safaricom PLC and a business journalist on a local radio station.
