Man Charged with Drug Trafficking in Mombasa

Mombasa anti-narcotics detectives have apprehended Zuher Ali Mohamed, a suspected drug trafficker in Kiembeni, Bombo area of Kisauni.

Following a tip-off from a vigilant member of the public, authorities conducted an early morning operation, seizing several sachets of suspected heroin and Cannabis sativa from Mohamed’s house and car.

Additionally, cash amounting to Sh26,250 and USD 200, a weighing machine, packaging envelopes, and three mobile phones believed to contain data of his accomplices were confiscated.

Mohamed is scheduled to be arraigned at the Mombasa Law Courts on April 18, 2024.
