Kenyans on social media have shared their reactions after President William Ruto, his Ugandan counterpart Yoweri Museveni, and ODM leader Raila Odinga on Monday held talks in Uganda.
In their mix of reactions, netizens said Ruto backing Raila for the AU job would mean he has a chance of taking it.
“Raila Odinga has a strong position with President William Ruto backing him. Ruto’s influence, as a leading voice on the continent, adds significant support to Odinga’s political goals.” One of the X users reacted.
Others said that the Kenya Kwanza government fears the outspoken opposition leader and that’s why they are in support of him going to Addis Ababa.

“Has RAO ever recognized WSR as the duly elected Kenyan president? Has he ever referred to him as President William Ruto? Why pumper him? It shows how KK fears this guy regardless of forming the government.” Kamurigo, an X users stated.
“The president must reach out to all and sundry. Politics is often progressive, not nostalgic, Esther Okenyuri.
Photos that were shared on Monday night showed the three discussing as they walked in a field.
