Police recover decomposing body of a suspected thief

Police in Kasarani yesterday discovered the body of a thief who is suspected to have bled to death after falling.

The body of the unknown middle-aged man was found decomposing after the neighbours complained of a foul smell.

The tenant had gone for an unknown time when the suspect tried to gain entry thereby cutting the window grill since the door was closed.

Police broke into the house and found the body of the man decomposed with blood oozing from the mouth.

The body was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy and further processing.

The owner of the house was contacted and informed of the tragedy.

Meanwhile, police are investigating a murder in the discovery of a body of a man along Mombasa Road.

The body of the man was discovered near the Tulip Building by pedestrians.

Police said the body had visible injuries on the face.

The body was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy.

Elsewhere in Mowlem, Dandora, a 32-year-old man died after falling on his head on the staircase of an apartment.

Police said Francis Mwangi Njuguna slipped and fell on the stairs case of a five-story building and sustained injuries on the jaws.

He was rushed to Jamii Hospital where he succumbed to the injuries.

The body was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy.
