Nairobians will now have access to essential services by the county at their constituencies after the Sakaja-led administration launched decentralized service centres.
The newly opened Centres are located in Dandora and Makadara to enhance efficient service delivery.
This is an addition to the main customer service located in the Central Business District at City Hall.
According to Revenue Chief Officer Tiras Njoroge, the centres will bring services close to the residents making it affordable for them to access services near their homes.
“Governor Johnson Sakaja’s vision is to ensure Nairobians can access essential services nearer to their homes.” He said.
The centres, strategically located to serve residents more conveniently, provide various county services, including payments for land rates, Unified Business Permits, seasonal parking, house rent, and other levies.
Additionally, Nairobians payments can be made online through the county’s portal, www.nairobiservices.go.ke.
To improve operations, the county recently hired and trained over 40 revenue clerks to work at the centres.
“The recruitment is critical to achieving the county’s ambitious revenue target of Sh20 billion for the financial year ending June 2025. Last year, Nairobi collected Sh12.8 billion, the highest since devolution. This year, we are confident of surpassing this record.” Njoroge said.
Residents are encouraged to embrace the new service centers as a more accessible alternative to the crowded CBD.
“We are committed to meeting all service needs efficiently and professionally at these centres.” The Chief Officer assured.
With Dandora and Makadara centres now operational, the initiative marks a step forward in improving public service delivery for Nairobians.
