Teso South MP Mary Emase Chased Away by Voters at Omoloi

Teso South Member of Parliament Mary Emase was forced to flee today after being confronted by residents at Omoloi. The angry locals questioned her decision to vote YES for the Financial Bill 2024, which had been widely rejected by the majority of Kenyans.
“Lazima atuambie alivote Yes kwa nini…anakula shillingi million mbili ya Ruto kuumiza mwananchi akwende kabisa,” shouted the agitated residents, alleging that the legislator had been paid Kshs. 2 million to betray their wishes.
Security officers quickly evacuated the Teso South MP from the scene.
“She will work in Nairobi, not here. Aende Sugoi, huko ujinga apeleke mbali. We did not elect her to cook tea in Sugoi. It has just started, more is coming,” declared another voter.
Following the incident at Omoloi, Emase had to cancel all her functions in the constituency. She blamed Teso youths for the violence and vowed to teach them a political lesson.
“Wapumbavu sana hao vijana staki kura yao, wakwende,” she lamented.
This confrontation follows a similar incident last weekend, when the Teso South MP faced opposition from youths after a church service at Asariam.
