Critics Opposing Raila’s African Union Role Lack Moral Authority to Advise Him – Oduk

By Shadrack Nyakoe

Kenyans who are against Raila’s bid to become the next President of the African Union Commision have no moral authority to seek his help in ousting President William Ruto in 2027.

This is according to businessman and politician Johnson Oduk who says it’s hypocritical of a section of Kenyans to take their anti-Raila AUC campaigns on social media with the hope that if he fails,he will join them in revolting against the government.

Mr. Oduk said that he is shocked at how Kenyans angered by the current administration and the ongoing Impeachment saga around Hon. Rigathi Gachagua have been all over social media wishing that Raila Odinga fails in his bid to be the African Union Commision President so that he can come and join them in their imaginary revolution against President William Ruto,” he said

“This is hypocrisy of the highest order; how do you wish someone bad luck and at the same time pray that he comes to rescue you?,” he questioned

He explained that there is nothing that democratically stops Kenyans from voting out President William Ruto even if Raila wins the AUC seat. Why are those opposed to Raila’s bid certain that he will join them to rebel against the current regime.

“If we want Raila’s help and direction we must first show patriotism by supporting his AUC bid and not allow local politics to lead us into unnecessary hatred against him,”

Mr. Odinga is the favourite to win the seat in the elections that will be held in February next year.
