CS attends the World Travel & Tourism Council Global Summit in Buenos Aires

CS attends the World Travel & Tourism Council Global Summit in Buenos Aires from 17-20 April, 2018. He is a panelist in today’s session on READINESS, RESILIENCE AND RECOVERY, with special focus on Planning for and Managing a crisis in tourism.

“A big challenge to effective crisis management is media coverage, which differs depending on the location of the attacks and identity of victims. Terrorist attacks in the West are covered sympathetically and responses, mitigation and recovery given prominence. Attacks in Africa, however, are covered negatively with intensive focus on suffering and evacuation and travel advisories.”
