Joe Mfalme has been acquitted of all charges, while his MC Allan Ochieng’ will face charges in connection with the murder of the police officer.
Joe along with five others, will be called upon as state witnesses in the murder trial.
In a letter dated April 5, 2024, the Director of Public Prosecutions advised that the second among the seven respondents should serve as witnesses in the case. Additionally, the DPP charged the first respondent, Allan Ochieng’, with murder.
Magistrate Margaret Murage of the Kibera court closed the miscellaneous file, paving the way for the release of DJ Joe and the five others. This decision came after the Investigative Officer in the case made the request.
