Guinness has released a 28-minute documentary on Showmax that explores the lives of four football fans from Kenya, Nigeria, Tanzania, and Ghana.
The film ‘Shine’ is written by Kenyan Joan Rispa Kiragu and directed by Nigerian Nora Awolowo, depicting the spirit and essence of football through the eyes of these supporters.
According to Guinness Marketing Manager Henrietta Reed, the film celebrates the enthusiasm and energy of football fans across Africa.
The documentary will be available on Showmax Premier League starting July 5, 2024.
“Showmax is trying to bring together the 250 million football fans on our continent, so when Guinness approached us to collaborate on Shine, we jumped at the opportunity to show how much fans in Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, and Tanzania have in common.” Nomsa Philiso, CEO of General Entertainment at MultiChoice said.
Guinness has been recently known for its passion for football and epic Matchdays, and proudly presents Shine, a heartwarming 28-minute documentary that is now premiering on Showmax.
This film follows the journeys of four dedicated football fans in Kenya, Nigeria, Tanzania, and Ghana who go above and beyond to make the beautiful game more enjoyable for the fans within their local communities.
Guinness has partnered with Showmax as the exclusive streaming platform for the documentary which has been available on Showmax Premier League starting last week.
