Police in Narok County have launched investigations into the incident where a man attacked and seriously injured his mother before committing suicide.
According to a police report seen by Corporatewatch, the assailant first used a sharp machete to attack the elderly woman after a disagreement over unknown issues.
He then left his mother bleeding and rushed to his house and locked himself.
The body of the man was later found hanging on a truss of his house with a manila rope tied around his neck.

When Police officers arrived at the scene, they found the woman with serious injuries and took her to the hospital.
The team later broke into the house where the body of the said assailant was found and moved to the mortuary for autopsy.
Such cases are on the rise. Police say cases of suicide are on the rise in the country and want measures to be taken to address the trend.
