The police in Kathonzweni, Makueni County, has warned the public about rapidly rising water levels at Thwake Dam.
The situation has led to the submersion of the intake tunnel, destruction of guardrails, and engulfment of the Makueni bridge.
Flooding has affected the sub-county’s quarry area, as well as the garage and residential site belonging to a Sinoma subcontractor.
Due to the danger posed by the floods, people are asked to avoid the affected areas and move to safer grounds.
