NIBS Founder Lizzie Wanyoike to be buried Tuesday next Week

Nairobi Institute of Business Studies founder and CEO Lizzie Wanyoike will be buried next week Tuesday at her Gatanga home in Murang’a County.

Lizzie passed away aged 72 on January 14 after battling cancer.

Friends and family will meet for the businesswoman’s memorial service tomorrow at the ACK St. Joseph of Arimathea, Thome at 3:00 pm.

Madam Lizzie has been eulogized as a passionate educator who impacted the lives of many.

The family and friends of Lizzie Wanyoike continue to meet at her Garden Estate residence in preparation for her funeral next week.

“In loving memory of a remarkable educator. Her passion ignited minds, her kindness touched hearts.” The family wrote in their condolence message.

Political leaders are among Kenyans from all spheres of life who have also expressed their sympathies to the family of the departed entrepreneur.

“Your contribution to the education sector will remain in our hearts forever, you were great in all ways. Go well, my sister. Our condolences to your family, the NIBS fraternity, the education sector, and the nation.” Public Service CS Moses Kuria wrote on X.

Liz was not just a great businesswoman but a source of inspiration for many. Her legacy and impact will always be remembered.” Former Kiambu governor William Kabogo said in his condolence message.

“Our thoughts and prayers go out to her family, friends, and the entire education community during this time.” Nairobi Deputy Governor Njoroge Muchiri said in tribute to the founder

Kimani Ichungwa, the majority leader of the National Assembly, praised Wanyoike as an icon of education as well.

Lizzie Wanyoike started life as a naïve village girl in rural Murang’a and rose to a top educator and entrepreneur in Nairobi.
