Daphne Kabeberi appointed Glovo Africa’s lead for Impact Sustainability

Leading multi-category app, Glovo, is thrilled to announce the appointment of Daphne Kabeberi as the Impact and Sustainability Lead for Africa. This strategic move underscores Glovo’s commitment to shaping a robust social impact strategy across the continent.

Daphne Kabeberi brings with her an impressive track record of over 20 years in championing the welfare of underserved communities. Her extensive experience spans various initiatives, including skills training, fundraising, advocacy, and rural electrification, across numerous cultural and geographical contexts.

In her new role, Daphne Kabeberi will be pivotal in driving Glovo’s sustainability agenda, ensuring the company’s operations and initiatives contribute meaningfully to social and environmental well-being across Africa.

Prior to joining Glovo, Daphne served as the Program Lead and Partnership Manager at Tunapanda Institute, where she designed, directed and fundraised for training programs to prepare digital workers from underprivileged communities to succeed at dignified jobs.

Additionally, as the Lead Sustainability Engineer at Endustrial Support, Daphne successfully implemented “Green Key” eco-label standards for a leading hotel, optimizing energy and water utilization, and guiding best practices that significantly reduced the carbon footprint and achieved substantial annual savings.

Daphne’s diverse expertise and unwavering dedication to sustainability and community development make her a valuable addition to the Glovo team, as the company continues to strengthen its impact and sustainability strategies in Africa.
