Eighteen Ethiopian aliens arrested in Wajir

Eighteen Ethiopian nationals have been arrested by the police in Wajir County after they were accused of being in Kenya illegally.

The 18 aliens were apprehended on Thursday following a multi-agency operation multi-agency operation conducted within Korondile Township and its environs.

“They were arrested and placed in custody at Korondile Police Station awaiting to be escorted to Wajir law courts to face charges of being unlawful present in Kenya.” The police stated.

Individuals found to be unlawfully present in Kenya may face deportation or removal proceedings.

Additionally, they may be subject to fines or other penalties as outlined by Kenyan immigration laws.

Penalties can range from fines to imprisonment, depending on the severity of the violation and other factors involved.
