‘I will miss you my Love’ Kiptum’s wife shares emotional tribute

The late Kevin Kiptum’s wife, Asenath Rotich has showered him with praises in her emotional tribute.
Asenath who shed tears while reading the tribute remembered how they had planned to exchange vows in a colorful wedding Ceremony two months from now(April) only for death to take him away from her.
“My love, I can’t learn how to say goodbye to you with weak fingers and pain in my heart. It is unbelievable that today I have learnt to stay with our beloved kids without you coming home again.” She read.
The young widow vowed to take care of the young kids left behind by their Dad.
“I promise to gather my strength for the sake of our children. I hope that the spirit world will inspire me to stand as a pillar to our children. I promise to make them smile in your honour.” She said.
“I have cried until no more, I will miss you and my love for you is forever until we meet again.” She added.
Asenath said the deceased was the best husband and his start was shining bright and that she is already missing his company.
“When your star was growing to be the brightest, God chose you. You have been the best father to our children; I miss your company. Dance with angels until we meet again.” She concluded.
The funeral is being attended by a host of leaders including president William Ruto and his deputy and Athletics Kenya with representatives from World Athletics too at ASK Chepkorio grounds in Elgeyo Marakwet.
He will be laid to rest at his new home built by the government in Naiberi, Uasin Gishu County where he had bought land.
