Kenya promises support to Vivo fashion group during store launch in Atlanta

The Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industrialization has promised wholehearted support to Vivo Fashion Group as they continue being ambassadors of Kenya’s fashion ambassadors in the US.

CS Trade Rebecca Miano said the fashion journey for  Vivo showcases Visionary entrepreneurship and innovation.

“The journey of Vivo Fashion Group showcases the transformative power of visionary entrepreneurship and underscores the vital role of women in leadership, business, and innovation. The Government wholeheartedly supports your endeavors as you continue to inspire and pave the way for businesses in East Africa.” She said.

According to Miano, the success of Vivo fashion is a beacon for many aspiring entrepreneurs.

Vivo fashion group launched a new store that happened during President William Ruto’s tour of the US.

The Vivo Fashion Group was co-founded 13 years ago by Wandia Gichuru who is also its CEO.

President William Ruto on Tuesday launched Vivo Fashion Group’s first store in Atlanta, Georgia, in the United States of America.

Ruto lauded the milestone achieved by the company saying that it is one of the largest fashion brands in East Africa.

“The story of Vivo Fashion Group demonstrates the impact of visionary enterprise and highlights the role of women in leadership, business and entrepreneurship,” Ruto said.

“The bold colors, striking patterns, vibrant textures and meticulous designs that surround us reflect the diversity and rich history of Kenya and the African continent. Your designs beautifully merge traditional and modern African styles and symbolism.” He added.

The company has been designing and manufacturing 100% of its products in Kenya and has 25 stores across the region. It employs over 380 people.
