Man arrested for stabbing his son to death in Nandi county

Police in Mosobesho, Nandi County have launched investigations into the killing of a 24-year-old man who was allegedly stabbed by his father after a fight.

Reports indicate the youthful man succumbed to the stabbing while receiving treatment at the Kapsabet referral hospital.

According to police reports, the young man was fatally stabbed in the chest during a physical altercation with his father.

The confrontation, which escalated into violence, resulted in the man suffering severe bleeding from the stab wound.

The motive behind the dispute remains unclear. Authorities were alerted to the scene of the incident and later to the hospital where Kenneth was pronounced dead.

His father aged 48-years was later traced and arrested by police and is expetecd to be  arraigned in court today as he faces murder charges.

The police said they plan to ask for more days to hold him as they investigate the incident and take him for among others mental tests.

Separately in a second incident in Kasarani area of Nairobi, a middle aged man identified as Kano Njoroge died by suicide in a bizarre incident.

Police said the deceased had been enjoying drinks with his friends in his house when he suddenly picked up a kitchen knife and stabbing himself in the thigh.

Those present rushed him to St. Francis Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

He had raptured his thigh nerve which caused bleeding.

The motive of the incident is yet to be known. The body was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy and other investigations.
