NHC CEO Qs. David Mathu Wins Young African Business Leader award

The Managing Director & CEO of National Housing Corporation (NHC), Qs. David Mathu has been honored with the Young African Business Leader of the Year Award during the 14th edition of the African Business Leadership Awards (ABLA) 2024.
The recognition honours exceptional achievements and contributions in the business sector across Africa. ABLA noted that under Mathu’s stewardship, NHC has experienced significant organizational expansion, with a broadened project portfolio and strengthened operational capabilities.
The 38-year-old was lauded for his dynamic approach in fostering strategic alliances with both domestic and international stakeholders, which have substantially enhanced the corporation’s ability to accomplish its mandate in line with the Kenyan Government’s agenda on affordable housing.

The Young African Business Leader of the Year Award honors outstanding individuals under the age of 40 who embody transformative leadership and serve as inspirational figures in the business arena.
Qs. David Mathu is a known personality in the infrastructure housing and real estate sectors boasting of several years of leadership. He has spearheaded numerous initiatives that have transformed the delivery of affordable housing in Kenya.
He has shown a continued commitment to creating sustainable, affordable and inclusive housing opportunities by fostering partnerships and policy changes.
Q’s Mathu emerged as a co-winner of the young African business leader of the year award in a poll conducted by the African leadership magazine.
