Police Recover Stolen Lorry, Suspect Arraigned in Court

A Mitsubishi lorry reported stolen on April 1, 2024, has been found in a Karen garage, where fake insurance and registration plates were being fitted.

The alleged thief, Simam Kagema Mwangi, has been apprehended.

The vehicle’s search commenced after Kanini Haraka Enterprises Ltd’s manager reported its theft at Kiamaciri Police Station.

The Mitsubishi Fuso, with registration number KDK 583G, vanished between Kenol and Makutano, with its tracker disabled.

DCI officers from Mwea West and Thika West collaborated to arrest the 30-year-old suspect in Thika.

He was found altering the truck’s appearance to conceal its identity, using a different set of registration plates (KCT 446R).

The suspect was arraigned in court earlier today.
