A twenty-one-year-old man suspected to have been involved in the murder of his employer, 78-year-old Catherine Waceke Kimotho over the past weekend in the Njathaini area of Kasarani has been arrested with two others.

The suspect who had worked at the homestead for one month had gone missing and was smoked out of his hideout in the valley area of Kinooo, Kiambu County.

The deceased was reported missing and was found in a septic tank wrapped in a blanket at the homestead where she lived with the suspect.

Preliminary reports by the police indicate that she might have been hit by a blunt object on the head as she had head injuries.

Detectives from the Nairobi regional headquarters proceeded to Kinoo acting on intelligence, where the suspect was being harbored by his cousin and the two individuals were arrested.

After interrogating the suspects, detectives intensified investigations into Githurai 44, where they recovered the mobile phone of the deceased at a phone repair shop and he was also arrested.

The three suspects have been booked at Kasarani Police Station ahead of their arraignment today.

Detectives seek to unearth the motive behind the heinous murder.

Unconfirmed reports indicate that the 21-year-old murder suspect disagreed with the employer after she allegedly failed to pay her the agreed salary.
