The Maxx maintenance free (MF) range battery will power public service vehicles (PSVs) at discounted rates and for longer periods.

Chloride Exide Kenya General Manager, Karanja Njoroge said: “We understand that PSV’s crank on and off several times a day, whilst using their high-power music systems. Maxx MF is designed to withstand these unique demands with no maintenance. You fit it and forget”.

The new and improved MF Battery is a stronger more robust battery that comes under the flagship “Power your PSV, specifically designed for taxis and 14-seater matatus.

“Over the last year, this battery has been market tested for durability and reliability with impressive results. It has been made to withstand long periods of the engine being active, constant starting of the vehicle and powers various gadgets in your vehicle”, added the GM.

The Maxx MF comes in an all-new red case and is a variant of the Maxx vented range of batteries launched in 2017.

Established in Kenya in 1963, Chloride Exide has grown from a single based operation to being the largest battery and renewable energy distributor in the East African region with a wide network of over 17 branches and 400 dealers in the region.
