East Africa Breweries Limited has announced a refund of all Sunday tickets for day two of the Walker Town Festival that was held at Kasarani.

In a statement released yesterday, EABL apologized for the disruptions that occurred during the event.

“In light of these circumstances, we will be issuing a 100% refund to all ticket holders for Day Two of the Walkertown 2024 Festival within the next two weeks. This is a reflection of our commitment to fairness and respect for the trust you placed in us.” They said in a statement.

“We would like to extend our sincerest apologies to everyone who was affected. We understand the importance of meeting the high expectations we consistently strive to deliver.” They added.

The brewers said the unforeseen technical challenges particularly the rain and other conditions—affected their sound system, causing significant delays.

This resulted in the delayed performance by Miss Lauryn Hill and, regrettably, the cancellation of Nyashinski’s performance, which deeply impacted the overall festival experience.

The last year’s edition of the concert was held at the Uhuru Gardens grounds in Nairobi on September 30, 2023. It was a celebration of its first anniversary.

Walker Town aims to offer attendees an unforgettable experience and create tight connections through music and cultural backgrounds.

Johnnie Walker Acting Marketing Manager Victoria Mbugua previously said:

“Johnnie Walker believes in taking bold steps, and the Walker Town Nairobi edition epitomizes our commitment to offering our fans unforgettable experiences.”
