Government Spokesperson Isaac Mwaura Tours RVIST Nakuru

Government Spokesperson Isaac Mwaura, accompanied by his deputies Gabriel Muthuma and Mwanaisha Chidzuga, visited the office of Deputy Principal Paul Komen at the Rift Valley Institute of Science and Technology (RVIST) in Nakuru.

RVIST is one of the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions selected by the government to implement the Jitume Program, which supports the BETA Pillar’s Digital Superhighway and Creative Economy initiative.

The Rift Valley Institute of Science and Technology (RVIST) is a giant institution offering a total of over 66 different courses in Higher National Diploma, Diploma, Craft and Artisan Programs.

RV­IST has established partnership with various institutions both locally and internationally to address issues that affect the society as outlined in the SDGs

During the visit, Government Spokesperson inquired about the program’s impact on students, expressed his gratitude for the institution’s efforts, and highlighted the students’ earnings and success stories resulting from the Jitume program.

He emphasized the importance of showcasing these successes to align with the goals of the Digital Superhighway and Creative Economy pillar.
