‘He will be fired’ Belgut MP Nelson Koech accuses Muturi of daring Ruto

Belgut Member of Parliament Nelson Koech now claims Public Service Cabinet Secretary Justin Muturi will be sacked today.

According to the legislator, the CS has called for his sacking through his criticism of the government over extrajudicial killings and abductions.

The Belgut legislator says Muturi has dared the head of state and he will go home in a week or two adding that it is politically motivated.

“He is a man daring the president to fire him. In a week or two, he will be home. He will be fired because I know what is happening politically,” Koech stated.

“He has pinched President Ruto’s nose and I can tell that he is a man going home. It can even be today,” he added.

His sentiments come after Muturi called out to president Ruto to call to an end abductions and extrajudicial killings in the country.

According to the Public Service CS, the ongoing abductions and killings are damaging the reputation of the country and might plunge the country into anarchy.

Muturi expressed his outrage at the continued disappearance and murder of young people.

“The country should stop all other businesses and address this matter of young people being killed and abducted. I’m calling upon the president to address the matter now,” Muturi stated last week.

The CS proposed that a commission of inquiry comprising members from the Law Society of Kenya, religious groups, and Civil Society Organizations be formed to inquire about the abductions and extrajudicial killings.

The former Attorney General dismissed calls for his resignation saying it is a side adding that it is the sole responsibility of the government to protect its citizens and their property.

“Resignation is a side issue. It suffices that I sit in government. I’m calling on the government to ensure this matter is discussed,” he said.

JB said he could not respond to come out to the public and criticize him for being firm.

He questioned the involvement of President William Ruto in trying to bring peace to the Democratic Republic of Congo while he was unable to end abductions and extrajudicial killings in the country.

“We are pretending to be solving issues in DRC while we have a serious issue here at home of people being killed. The number of people who have died is huge and should prick into the mind of any right-thinking leader,” He lamented.
