KPA Secures First Place in Nine Categories During the Mombasa ASK Show

The Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) achieved significant success at the Mombasa International Agricultural Society of Kenya (ASK) Show, securing first place in nine categories and second place in two others.

KPA was recognized for excelling in several key areas, including Blue Economy Innovations and Inventions, viable transport services initiatives, Information Technology and Communication Systems, community project support, and Environmental Quality Standards application during Mombasa ASK Shos.

Additionally, the Authority was awarded first place for its performance as a Non-Agricultural Based statutory board, international trade and export strategies, large trade (commercial and industrial), and youth activities, empowerment, and capacity building.

In addition to these wins, KPA secured second place in two important categories: promoting national cohesion and integration development, and best (government stand) interpreting the current show theme.

During the event, KPA’s Managing Director, Captain William Ruto, emphasized the Authority’s commitment to providing efficient and reliable services to its clients.

He reiterated KPA’s dedication to remaining the top government agency by ensuring fast and satisfactory customs clearance and regulatory processes, as well as facilitating the seamless loading, unloading, and storage of cargo.

Captain Ruto also highlighted the Authority’s focus on ensuring navigational safety within port waters, further enhancing operational efficiency.

He affirmed that the port’s infrastructure development will continue to be maintained and upgraded regularly to meet high service standards and address evolving demands.
