KUCCPS opens portal for Inter-Institutional Transfer

By Antynet Ford

The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has announced the opening of  its portal for Inter-Institutional Transfer applications.

The deadline for the Inter-Institutional Transfer is July 4.

The process targets applicants placed in universities and colleges in the 2024/2025 placement cycle who would wish to change their institutions.

The transfer also allows a change of courses, provided that the applicant meets the applicable cut-off points, subject to endorsement by the receiving institution.

The student should first login to the Student’s Portal students.kuccps.net.

Once successfully logged in to the portal, click on the “Transfer Application” tab on the dashboard.

Enter the code of the institution and programme that you wish to transfer to.

The student is then required to select the reason they are seeking the transfer.

The next procedure is making Sh1000 payment following the provided payment instructions.

KUCCPS noted that students can monitor the progress of their application for transfer through the Student’s Portal.

“Both the receiving and releasing institutions are required to endorse your application and you can monitor this through the portal.” They said.

“If the receiving institution declines to endorse the transfer application, you will be notified through the portal and advised to try a different programme in either the same institution or a different one.” They added.

The process will move to KUCCPS after the endorsements.
