Nairobi members of county assembly have today threatened to ban operation of Lopha Matatu Sacco from the City.
This follows after a Matatu- belonging to the Lopha Matatu Sacco destroyed County property in Parklands/Highridge ward.
The roads and transport Committee chairperson Patrick Musango Maithya during the committee proceedings on Thursday 3rd, October 2024 announced a ban on the Sacco due to what the committee deemed vandalizing and destruction of Nairobi City County Government property.
“You are aware that your Sacco has been involved in the massive destruction of county property. As an oversight committee, this serves as a last warning to your Sacco! We are tired of unruly matatus causing mayhem in the City,” Musango who is also Pipeline’s Ward representative told Lopha Sacco.
