Nairobi City County Assembly Minority leader Anthony Kiragu has promised to call a UDA Nairobi delegates meeting in two weeks.

This is his first meeting as he eyes the Nairobi UDA chairman position in the upcoming April Elections.

Kiragu expressed his confidence saying that he will win the seat as he has been at the forefront of Championing the party manifesto across the city.

“In two weeks, I will be calling all the UDA delegates in Nairobi in Bomas so that we can strategize for the upcoming elections in April. The elections are still there they have not been postponed and I am very confident that I will take the chairman’s post.” Kiragu said.

“They will ratify and confirm me as the Chairman who has been driving this party in the city very well.” He added.

He added that Nairobi will lead the way for the other counties to follow.

The UDA party postponed its grassroots elections from December 2023 to April.

The decision was arrived at following a meeting held by the party’s National Steering Committee chaired by President William Ruto.
