In recognition of the outstanding efforts of healthcare providers in the seventeen sub-counties in Nairobi City County, the 6th annual health service delivery awards ceremony was held today and was presided over by Governor Sakaja at a Nairobi hotel.
The event was a success, with individual medical professionals, community health units, and health facilities receiving well-deserved recognition for their outstanding service delivery in the year 2023-2024.
The awards ceremony, organized by the Nairobi City County Government, aimed at honoring healthcare providers and health facilities who have gone above and beyond in delivering quality care to the people of Nairobi.
The tone of the ceremony was one of pride, gratitude, and motivation.

The ceremony was attended by medical practitioners and representatives from various health institutions, including private and faith-based health facilities in Nairobi County.
Sakaja who was the chief guest, gave a powerful speech highlighting the achievements of the county in healthcare and stressing the importance of continuous improvement.
“My administration remains committed to providing accessible, equitable, and sustainable healthcare services to the people of Nairobi and beyond,” Sakaja said.
Sakaja commended the county’s medical staff for their steadfast dedication.
The awards were the result of a rigorous assessment process of a hundred health facilities, taking into account various factors such as patient satisfaction, most improved facilities, quality of service, and innovation.
Nairobi City County Government has made investments in modern medical equipment, continuous medical personnel training, and the development of healthcare facilities to ensure the city residents are treated with care and dignity.
