Former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko joined Kenyans and leaders on Monday to celebrate the recovery of former NTV journalist Eunice Omollo, who had been battling bipolar disorder.
Omollo made headlines in May when she publicly appealed for help, revealing her struggle with the condition, which had forced her to transfer the care of her son to her mother.
In a tearful video shared online, Omollo expressed her inability to afford her medication and the challenges she faced, including the risk of eviction from her home.
However, on Monday, Sonko announced her full recovery.

Thank you to everyone who supported her during this difficult time. Let’s welcome Eunice back with open arms,” he posted.
Omollo’s journey to recovery has been met with relief and support from Kenyans, who had rallied behind her during her struggle.
