Top South African female comedian, actress, TV personality, and writer, Tumi Morake is lined up to perform in Kenya at a groundbreaking Women’s Only Comedy Special, titled “Girls Aloud,” hosted by Punchline Comedy club and Gilbeys Gin in celebration of International Women’s Month.
The event will take place at a Gala night on the 9th March, at the Lewis Leaky Auditorium followed by a Matinee at The Two Grapes Bar and Restaurant on the 10th.
Tumi will share the stage with the sensational Tanzanian comic, Neyla Manga, whose distinctive blend of humour and wit has captivated audiences worldwide, Ciru Mwangi from Kenya, voted Breakout Comedian of 2023, whose relatable style has endeared her to audiences across Kenya, Shazz Nderitu, Ng’endo, fondly known as Mama Ngina, and Gaya Marina Garbaruk, originally from South Africa.

Tumi Morake is renowned for her groundbreaking achievements having made history in 2018 as the first African woman to feature in her own Netflix special. Additionally, she holds the distinction of being the inaugural female host of Comedy Central Presents in Africa.
