The Standard media Group has announced the merging of its two major television brands KTN Home and KTN News, into a unified brand, KTN.
In a statement today, Standard disclosed that the merger is aimed at giving the audience a comprehensive range of content under one roof.
“Today, we’re excited to announce the merger of KTN Home and KTN News into one unified brand: KTN. This bold move combines the best of both worlds—your favourite family entertainment and trusted, fact-based journalism—all under one roof.” Standard group Chief Executive Officer Marion Gathoga said in a statement.
The CEO emphasized that the new KTN will cater to diverse audiences, offering everything from news content to entertainment.
“Wherever you watch—on TV, laptop, or mobile—we promise a rich, captivating experience. With passionate and fearless journalists leading the way, KTN remains committed to putting facts first—because you come first.” She said.
Established Since 1990, KTN was the first privately owned television station to be established in the country.
KTN News, which provided 24-hour news coverage was established in 2015.
“The new KTN offers something for everyone: in-depth news, investigative stories, local dramas, Hollywood movies, talk shows, sports, youth content, and so much more.” The CEO added.
