Two suspects were yesterday arrested by the police in Nairobi with bhang worth over Sh300, 000 at a residential estate in the Joska area along Kangundo road.
A report by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) shows the Anti-Narcotics unit detectives who were in support of the Operations Support Unit acting on a tip-off conducted the raid at the said estate where they found the outlawed substances weighing 10 kilograms.
During the raid, two 21-year-old suspects were arrested including a man identified as Laban Ochieng Odera and a woman – Ann Nyambura Njoki. The duo has since been taken to Muthaiga police station awaiting arraignment. The matter remains under investigation.
“The two suspects were escorted to Muthaiga Police Station for court processing, and the exhibit which weighed 10kg estimated at a street value of Sh300,000 secured.” DCI stated.
