The illegal water consumers are on the limelight after Nairobi City County Water and Sewerage Company (NCCWSC) removed all pipes illegally connected to the main pipes of the supply company.
This follows efforts to curb the increased illegal connections.
NCWSC carried out the crackdown on illegal water connection at Kyang’ombe area along the Southern bypass.
The operation was spearheaded by NCCWSC Security Team in collaboration with National Police Service’s Critical Infrastructure Protection Unit ( CIPU).
It was established during the operation that one person has done an illegal connection to supply water to others including factories.
Surveillance is being done to nab him and ensure they don’t reconnect.
