LG Electronics (LG) has forecasted sustained growth in Kenya’s premium television segment, projecting a 1% compound annual growth rate (CAGR) over the coming year. This growth reflects the increasing consumer appetite for high-end home entertainment solutions and positions Kenya as a pivotal player in the adoption of cutting-edge electronics in the East African region.

The announcement was made as LG officially unveiled its latest innovation—the 100-inch LG QNED Mini-LED evo TV—a statement of the brand’s commitment to meeting the evolving expectations of Kenyan consumers who seek immersive viewing experiences, advanced smart capabilities, and sleek, luxury design.

 

Kenya’s Premium Electronics Market on the Rise

Kenya’s consumer electronics landscape continues to thrive, propelled by a growing middle and upper-income demographic, increased disposable incomes, and greater exposure to global technology trends. According to market projections, the overall consumer electronics market in Kenya is expected to generate USD 3.64 billion (KES 477 billion) in 2025, maintaining a robust 6.6% CAGR through 2030.

Within this booming sector, the television segment stands out, contributing approximately USD 131.8 million (KES 17 billion) in 2025 alone. Unit sales are anticipated to reach nearly 980,000 units by 2029, driven by heightened demand for smart TVs, internet connectivity, and energy-efficient devices.
