Reports indicate that the bodaboda rider who escaped with an injury on the forehead is a bursar at a local school.

During the accident, governor Barchok was being driven from his home in Kapkimolwo when it happened.

Confirming the incident, Bomet Central Police Boss Musa Imamai  faulted the bodaboda rider for being on the wrong.

The police said the rider was traveling towards Bomet and made a U-turn where the governor’s vehicle hit him.

“The bodaboda rider was the one on the wrong. The passenger he was carrying was hurt and he escaped immediately after the incident but we are looking for him. The injured person was treated at Longisa referral hospital where he was rushed by good Samaritans and has been discharged.” He said.
